I like this one because it looks like I’m saying something stern like “if. you. don’t. sit. down. and. be. quiet. we’re. leaving.” but in reality I think I was saying something like, “hey, wanna try the shrimp over there? looks yummy!”

Today we learned that black and white make grey, and (I wish I’d gotten a picture of this) that when you mix blue water with yellow water you get green water!
More photos of Palm Springs tomorrow, but in the meantime, I forgot to post these pics of Jane climbing the super fun rope structures at the Noah’s Ark exhibit at the Skirball center. This room is supposed to be for kids 4 and up, but Jane and her pals were off and running before we could catch them. She had so much fun climbing this stuff, and she’s still talking about it (“Jane climb ropes.”).

On the way to Palm Springs
We’ve been having a hell of a time getting Jane in the bath lately. A friend suggested letting her wear a bathing suit and now she’s happy as a clam!
Sunday afternoon playdate with Zoey (Jane might look like she’s crying in the top photo, but in fact that’s her “cheese” face—she scrunches everything up and thinks she’s smiling)
Now Jane doesn’t even use the black steps below anymore; she climbs from loop to loop along the railing (she saw some big kids doing this the other day)
We decided to eat an all green lunch today since Jane was wearing green (hope this doesn’t set a precedent! Not much blue food…)
Weeeeeee!!!
Having a snack at the Skirball center. Hey Zebra, stay away from my peanut butter filled pretzels!
We went to the Noah’s Ark exhibit at the Skirball center yesterday with Nico and Giacomo from Jane’s class and their parents. It was so much fun! More pics of climbing shenanigans later, but here are a few from my phone. A rainbow appears on a wall every few minutes or so (top pic), there were lots of fun toys and gadgets (kids can make it rain, make it windy and blow leaves around, make a giant giraffe move its neck, and load animals two-by-two onto a conveyor belt and then ferry them up the gangway up to the ark). Jane got to sit on a camel, and there was also an impromtu music class (the bottom photo).
First time solo on the balance beam!
